Company and business partner sync

When you synchronize company, customer, and supplier data, including associated contacts, you are sharing the data with Sage Network. Because Sage X3 is origin, so this data is only synched in one direction.

Customers and suppliers can collaborate and share documents such as invoices and payments through Sage Connect.

How to sync data

Open: Declarations > Sage Network > Sage Connect > Data sync (SNSYNC)

The template you select determines the data that is shared with the network. The templates contain the data and structure required to sync correctly with the network.

Do not modify the templates.
  • SNBPC - Customer sync model
  • SNBPR - Business Partner sync model
  • SNBPS - Supplier sync model
  • SNCPY - Company sync model

You need to synchronize data for each company connected to the network. You have the option to extract the data in a CSV file or send the data directly to Sage Network.

Sync to Network: Sends data based on the export template directly to Sage Network. This is optional, but you need to select one of the other two.

Update: Updates records in Sage Network according to the selected export template. This option does not take into account deleted or inactive records.

Initialize: In a later release, you will be able to use this option to delete and replace all records for a given template.

Log in to Sage Connect to check the result of the synchronization.

Important considerations

You can setup a recurring task so that data can by synchronized on a custom schedule.

See the online help for Task management and Recurring task management.

Make sure that data is synchronized before the corresponding invoice flow.

Make sure that the previous data or invoice synchronization is completed before running a new one.

Technical details

Files are extracted in CSV format and stored in the EINV/EINVOUT/Company code/Data directory.

See Appendix 5 for details of the file structure.
